About The Village Project
What is The Village Project?
TVP uses eVTOLs to create walkable neighborhoods. By combining the world's best traditional urban planners with aviation experts, we can shorten commutes AND replace surface parking lots with the homes, shops, and third spaces that build thriving communities.
Who founded The Village Project?
TVP was founded by Ian Singer, previously at Joby Aviation. You can meet the full team on our Team page.
Is The Village Project an air taxi company?
Not exactly. We plan and develop walkable towns designed around eVTOLs, often called air taxis. eVTOLs are the transport link that lets a compact, walkable town connect to the wider region without long drives.
What is an eVTOL?
An eVTOL is an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft, often called an air taxi. eVTOLs fly at up to 200 mph, turning long drives into short flights. That reduces the need for car infrastructure and frees up land for walkable, human-centered communities.
How will air taxis change the way we live?
Most suburbs were designed around the car, so daily life means driving everywhere. When the longest trips can be made by air taxi, a town can be built at a human scale again: homes, shops, schools and parks within a short walk, with the wider region still within easy reach.
Where does TVP operate?
TVP is focused on the United States. For specific project inquiries, please use the contact form on our home page.
Who backs The Village Project?

For landowners and developers
I'm a landowner. How can TVP help me?
Whether you have a large undeveloped parcel or an existing community that could benefit from eVTOL access and walkable design, we'd love to talk. Use the contact form on our home page and choose "Land Owner".
I'm a developer. How does TVP work with developers?
We work with developers to bring walkable village design and eVTOL infrastructure into new and existing projects, including master planning, eVTOL operations consulting and urban design advice. Use the contact form and choose "Developer or Home Builder" to start a conversation.
What does the development process look like?
Every project is different. We usually begin with a conversation about your goals, followed by a feasibility assessment and a conceptual planning phase.
