By early 2003, Weaver Street Market Cooperative (WSM) had purchased the property at the northwest corner of Weaver and Greensboro Streets in downtown Carrboro. The Village Project worked with other Carrboro designers to lead a “community conversation” to get ideas from the community as to how the site should be used in the future.

The charette was conducted on April 26 and May 10 of 2003 and The Village Project created a report on the results.
