In April 2007, Village Project board member James Carnahan represented the town in a discussion of the Carolina North project on News Talk 1360. This was part of the 2007 Chapel Hill-Carrboro-Orange County Forum: Growing, Learning, and Living Together held on Wednesday, April 18th, 2007.

The forum was broadcast LIVE on WCHL. The all-day forum featured five panels and ten hours of discussion. Panelists included Town and University officials, local business owners, representatives from civic organizations, as well as local residents.
